Jennifer Massey’s first 2026 Mayoral reendorsement comes from her role model, her almost 97-year-young grandmother, Betty (Paterson) Spady Haas.

immensely proud that I am steadfast in making a positive difference

I am deeply honored to announce that I have once again received the endorsement of UA Local 290 Plumbers, Steamfitters, HVAC/R, and Marine Fitters.
This endorsement is personal to me. Local 290 is my home local. I am a proud second generation steamfitter with 27 years in Local 290, and my dad is a 52 year life member. The values of organized labor, hard work, apprenticeship, safety, loyalty, and family wage careers were not just taught to me. They were lived in my home and have shaped my entire career.
Local 290 helped make me who I am, how I lead, and what I will always fight for. I am proud to stand with working people, and the skilled trades that build, maintain, and strengthen our communities every single day.

I am incredibly honored and deeply grateful to once again receive the endorsement of the St. Helens Police Association for my continued service as Mayor of St. Helens.
This reendorsement means a great deal to me.
An endorsement during a campaign is meaningful. A reendorsement after you have served is something different. It means people have had the opportunity to watch you lead, see how you handle difficult decisions, evaluate whether you followed through on your commitments, and then decide whether they still believe in your leadership.
I am extremely proud that the men and women of the St. Helens Police Association have once again placed their confidence in me.
Public service and public safety are deeply personal to me. I come from a family of public servants. My grandfather, uncle, and husband have served in law enforcement, and my family also has a proud history of service in fire and the military. I grew up understanding that service means showing up when people need you, protecting others, and sometimes putting yourself in harm’s way for people you may never even know.
My commitment to public safety did not begin when I decided to run for Mayor.
I advocated for safe workplaces, safe communities, and the protection of vulnerable people long before I ever considered elected office. I advocated for public safety before I ran, I have fought for it throughout my time as Mayor, and I will continue advocating for it long after my time in elected office eventually comes to an end.
I believe one of the most fundamental responsibilities of local government is protecting its citizens, especially our children, seniors, victims of crime, people experiencing crisis, and those who may not always have the ability or opportunity to advocate for themselves.
During my time as Mayor, I have worked relentlessly to protect 24-hour police coverage, prevent devastating staffing reductions, find solutions to our financial challenges, move the new Police Station forward, and develop a sustainable path for the future of the St. Helens Police Department.
There have been difficult decisions. There have been long meetings, uncomfortable conversations, financial challenges, and moments when the easiest thing politically would have been to simply step back.
That is not how I lead.
I will continue showing up, asking questions, challenging assumptions, looking for solutions, and fighting for the services I believe our citizens deserve.
To the members of the St. Helens Police Association, thank you for your trust and for this reendorsement.
I recognize the significance of receiving the support of the men and women who are actually answering the calls, responding to emergencies, protecting our children, helping victims, assisting people during some of the worst moments of their lives, and serving our community every single day.
You supported me before I became Mayor.
You have now had the opportunity to watch me serve as Mayor.
And you have chosen to support me again.
That means more to me than I can adequately express.
I remain committed to doing what I have always tried to do: show up, work hard, protect our community, stand up for those who need a voice, and make decisions based on what I genuinely believe is best for the citizens of St. Helens.
